The proliferation of “green” technology has become a major concern of the industry. This trend was clearly in evidence at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) this month. (Here is a link to more information about our participation in the show). This issue of Bridging the Gap focuses on how Fujitsu is contributing (and has long contributed) to the global environment by incorporating environmental awareness into all levels of the company.
Fujitsu is guided by a set of five core principles which together make up The Fujitsu Way. “Environment” is one of those five basic principles. Since its founding in 1935, Fujitsu has treated environmental awareness as one of its most important management issues based on our philosophy of “building in harmony with the environment”. Fujitsu is keenly aware of its duties as a global corporate citizen.
In this issue of Bridging the Gap, you will learn how Fujitsu is supporting the environment, including our commitment to reduce cumulative CO2 emissions by seven million tons between fiscal 2007 through fiscal 2010. Among a variety of other articles, we also discuss the successful efforts by Fujitsu in conforming to Energy Star and EPEAT standards, and our participation in the Climate Savers Computing Initiative.
As always, we hope you enjoy Bridging the Gap, and hope you will share it with associates and send us any suggestions you might have for additional content.
As we kick off 2008, it is with our wishes that yours is a healthy and prosperous year.
