Every year, Fujitsu issues its Sustainability Report. The purpose of the report is to describe “the thinking, efforts, and accomplishments regarding the social and environmental aspects of Fujitsu Group operations based on The FUJITSU Way, the core set of principles guiding the conduct of the Fujitsu Group”.
The second half of the report is dedicated to Fujitsu and the Environment, and provides a good perspective on how important the environment is to the company and its people. The Fujitsu Group Environmental Philosophy is stated as follows: “The Fujitsu Group recognizes that environmental protection is a vitally important business issue. By utilizing our technological expertise in the IT industry and our creative talents, we seek to contribute to the promotion of sustainable development. In addition, while observing all environmental regulations in our business operations, we are actively pursuing environmental protection activities on our own initiative. Through our individual and collective actions, we will continuously strive to safeguard a rich natural environment for future generations”.

As a reflection of the Fujitsu commitment to sustainability, the company has been highly ranked in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes every year since first index in 1999. The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI World) covers the top 10% of the biggest 2,500 companies in the Dow Jones World Index in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria.
