The flexible modular concept of MSA enables the deployment of IT infrastructures that satisfy all scalability, Availability, and security requirements. This includes standardized documentation covering every step of a project, including the operational concept. 

For MSA certification the complete PRIMERGY industry-standard server hardware is tested by Fujitsu and certified by Microsoft. A complete network test is performed, in which the entire data center is qualified. Since server systems are in the course of time withdrawn and replaced by new models, such a certification measure would quickly become outdated. By defining “server classes”, Microsoft has developed a method that renders it unnecessary for a complete recertification to be performed when a product model is changed.
